Health & Safety
The safety and wellbeing of students and staff is our highest priority. We understand the responsibility that teachers carry when organising overseas educational trips, and we work closely with schools to ensure every visit to Andalucía is safe, well-planned, and fully supported. All our programmes are designed in line with UK school travel expectations and local Spanish regulations, with clear risk management at every stage of the trip.
Risk Assessments
Comprehensive risk assessments are prepared for:
- Accommodation
- Transport
- Activities and excursions
- Free time arrangements (where applicable)
Risk assessments are available to schools in advance and can be adapted to suit the needs of each group. We work collaboratively with teachers to address any specific concerns or school policies.
Accommodation
We only use carefully selected accommodation that meets appropriate safety, hygiene, and supervision standards. Accommodation is risk-assessed and regularly reviewed.
Room allocations and supervision arrangements are agreed with group leaders in advance.
Transport
All transport providers are fully licensed and comply with Spanish safety regulations.
- Coaches are fitted with seatbelts where required by law.
- Drivers are experienced in working with school groups.
- Journey times are planned to minimise fatigue.
Activities & Excursions
- All activities are age-appropriate, educational, and risk-assessed.
- We work only with reputable, insured local providers.
- Clear supervision ratios are maintained at all times.
- Students are briefed on behaviour expectations and safety rules before each activity.
Supervision & group management
Students remain under the supervision of school staff at all times. Our local team provides on-the-ground support, coordination, and assistance throughout the trip. Clear meeting points, headcounts, and communication procedures are built into daily planning.
Medical care & emergencies
Emergency procedures are clearly defined and shared with group leaders. We provide:
- Local emergency contact numbers
- Nearest hospital and medical centre details
- Support with accessing medical care if needed
Our team is experienced in supporting schools with:
- Minor illnesses or injuries
- Medication coordination
- Communication with local services
Staff & local support
Our team is based in Málaga, Andalucía, and has in-depth local knowledge. We are available 24/7 during trips for emergencies or urgent support. English-speaking assistance is provided where required.
