This programme gives students the opportunity to gain valuable work experience while living and learning in Andalusia. By working up to 4 hours a day, students develop practical skills, confidence, and independence — all within a carefully structured, fully supported school trip.
A Taste of the
Working World
Students are placed in appropriate local workplaces where they can observe, assist, and take part in everyday tasks. Placements are selected with students’ age, ability, and interests in mind, offering insight into professional environments such as tourism, hospitality, retail, education support, or community projects.
Working a set number of hours each day helps students build essential life skills:
- Communication and teamwork
- Time management and responsibility
- Problem-solving and adaptability
- Confidence in new environments
Students experience what it means to be punctual, professional, and reliable skills that stay with them long after the trip ends.

Language in a
Real Context
For students learning Spanish, the workplace becomes a powerful language classroom. Everyday interactions allow students to practise Spanish naturally and with purpose.
The programme is carefully balanced to ensure students are engaged without feeling overwhelmed. Time outside the placement is dedicated to reflection, cultural activities, and group experiences. All placements are supervised, age-appropriate, and organised with student safety and wellbeing as a priority.
This work placement programme supports personal development, employability skills, and career awareness.
Students return with real experience to talk about in applications and interviews — and a stronger sense of independence and self-confidence.

Homestay
Our homestay programme combines Spanish lessons, trusted host families, and cultural immersion in Málaga’s safest neighbourhood. Students build confidence through daily language practice and authentic cultural experiences, while teachers enjoy the reassurance of a secure, welcoming, and fully supported environment.
